So, as you may have heard, we are releasing a new 7” soon. We’re not divulging any more information about it yet but, rest assured, you can expect more details and the actual release soon.
In the mean time, I wrote out all the lyrics to the two songs I wrote for the release and explained everything that went into writing them, from lyricism to the instrumentation itself.
I understand that this is a massive wall of text and that may turn some people off; however, for those of you interested in lyrics, songwriting, and what goes on in my head, I think this should say more than enough.
Feel free to send us any comments or questions you may have.
Everything is after the ‘Read More.’
Thanks,
Raphael

Song is currently untitled but it’s going to be on one of our upcoming splits. Different compared to our demo songs because I (Raph) don’t play guitar on this one, I only do vocals. Anyway:
“Hands held above our heads, held out as far as they can stretch. I’m trying to hold on to clouds that are always outside my reach. I guess you didn’t notice- I fade with the setting sun. I’m no more alive than the empty home where I grew up.
I find my life is constantly swirling, cliche as it sounds, like leaves in the wind- twirling in unpredictable patterns until the wind slows down and stops again. But leaves crumble under foot and are commonly left to die in the sun- I find myself begging for drops of rain to grace me but I realize that there are none.
And when we planted that tree in your front yard, I remember thinking, “I wish I was still young.” I guess you didn’t notice- I fade with the setting sun.”
Let me/us know what you think. More stuff soon.

allididwasdie asked: Patrick - I'm about to start a job as a third-shift custodian. I think my work will consist mostly of vacuuming, dusting, and washing the windows of a few cubicle floors. I will work almost entirely by myself. Is custodial work really as hard as you said? I'm actually pretty excited about this job.
It’s not actually all that challenging on the face of it, but people who do it for any length of time have techniques to make it easier and more...

Anonymous asked: Patrick- what's the worst job you've ever had?
Janitor at a mental institution.
Not because it was a mental institution, but because janitorial work is way harder than people think.
It’s...

Anonymous asked: Patrick- do you get approached by a lot of younger women? i.e. like early 20's?
Yeah.
Lately, the women who are interested in me are of the profoundly damaged variety. And because we live in a post-everything period, the girls...

Anonymous asked: Search for "Monster Energy Kicking it at Groezrock 2013" on youtube. European hardcore "scene" is upset about the supposed sexism of Monster in this short advertisement. Do you see sexism in this videoclip? I see women who choose to earn money with showing their bodies and dancing. Sounds okay to me.
STOP WRITING US ABOUT BORING SHIT THAT ONLY UNHEALTHY WEIRDOS GIVE A SHIT ABOUT.
YOU KNOW I JUST SEARCHED ‘MONSTER ENERGY KICKING IT AT GOZERROAK...

Anonymous asked: I've written a few songs lately that I recognize our not my best work. I like them but I feel they are beneath some of previous material/some other things I'm currently working on. Should I still record/release them or just let them fade away into the ether. (I am a solo artist who releases almost all my material for free online.)
It’s 2013, homie. Generate content at all cost. Don’t flatter yourself with the idea of posterity. People are the dolphin creatures from the book ...
